Manager, Coding Liaison

The highly influential Coding Liaison Manager will report to the Director of Ambulatory Revenue Cycle and is responsible for managing all aspects of coding education and coding and revenue integrity procedures as it impacts the organization’s revenue cycle, which includes planning, monitoring, and directing all activities pertaining to and impacting coding, coding audits, charge capture, and physician onboarding. This Manager will oversee the coding department’s staffing, distribution of work assignments, dissemination of current coding and charge capture guidelines and modern technology information, and reviews and analyzes reimbursement trends for all ambulatory clinics. Additionally, as a key contributor to the medical group, the Manager is accountable for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the ambulatory providers and the practice leadership team.
Ideal candidates will be results-oriented, self-driven, quality-focused leaders and team players. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field along with 7 years in ambulatory coding management. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist – Physician (CCS-P), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or AAPC’s Certified Professional Coder (CPC*) credential required.
