This position will be a 1099 contract position for around 5-7 months. There is a possibility that my client will ask if you would like to join their team as a permanent employee at the end of the contract but that is up to them and the coder as well. Pay is between 21-24 an hour. Hours are flexible and can either be full time or part time.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include: • The certified coder reviews, analyzes, and codes diagnostic information in a patient’s medical record based on client specific guidelines for the project. The coder will ensure compliance with established ICD-9/10 CM, DRGs coding guidelines, third party reimbursement policies, regulations and accreditation guidelines • Coders must meet and maintain 95% coding accuracy rate • Any other task requested by management QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills • Extensive knowledge of ICD -9/10 • Ability to be flexible in work environment • Familiar with HCC coding • 6 months coding experience •
