My job for 20 years was customer service for a large fiber optic cable company. I became interested in Medical coding as a way to work from home and be able to go with my husband as his job location changed. I became certified December, 2014. I worked remotely for a year, then a critical access hospital, and now a medium-sized health care system. I am looking for more opportunities to code from home. I love solving a puzzle when an obscure diagnosis is listed.
