I have been working as a medical coder for over 7 years and have experience in many different chart types. My most recent experience is in facility inpatient coding and for the last 3+ years I have coded for a level 1 Trauma Center and have also done CCQM reviews and audits for that facility for the past year. I have also coded and audited for other inpatient facilities, from large teaching hospitals to smaller facilities. I am a quick learner and very detail oriented. I work hard and have worked successfully from home for over 15 years. I do have 2-3 years of various outpatient coding types such as AMB, OP clinics, rehab, etc., but it has been several years since I did outpatient coding and I would need to refresh my CPT skills to be a proficient outpatient procedure coder. I am scheduled to sit for my AHIMA CCS exam in June. My test was delayed due to COVID 19 restrictions.
