I am very driven in starting a career in medical coding in order to contribute to the integrity of patient’s medical information and the organization’s financial services by providing accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.

I completed my Associate degree in Health Information Technology from Cypress College in August 2019.  Right after graduation, I devoted my time in reviewing and obtaining both CCS and RHIT certifications, which I passed in December 2019.   Besides my education and certifications, I completed my directed practice with Lakewood Regional Medical Center in the HIM Department, which included completing the pre-employment coding test.  I am also continually practicing coding scenarios at this time.

With my current work at UCLA Health as a medical record technician for release of information (under Maxim Healthcare), I am continually practicing my coding skills, training and under mentorship with a professional medical coder at home.  With this, I believe that I can be a valuable member of your team and this organization, if given a chance.
