I am proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Windows 10 with vast medical terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Pharmacology base with contextual knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS code sets and experience working with EHRs via NextGen, Epic, and Optum Pro while adhering to HIPAA, HITECH, Fair Debt Collection Act, and False Claims Act rules, regulations, and guidelines as they relate to medical claims processing and timely claims submission.

Associates Program for Medical Records/Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. Curriculum incorporated The National Healthcareer Association(NHA), providing a professional edge. NHA study guides and practice test were made available throughout the course with an opportunity to take the NHA CBCS Certification Exam upon completion. Students were also introduced to the technical aspects of medical insurance, billing, coding and claims processing. Ethical issues, HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines were also emphasized. Students were provided a thorough understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, Disease processes, and Medical Terminology. Upon program completion, students will be prepared to implement and execute their knowledge and understanding of the insurance and billing processes and procedures.
