My name is Amber Corns, I am a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.  I am seeking a part time remote medical coding/risk adjustment position.  I am currently working full time in a busy cardiology office performing Echocardiograms and other cardiac testing along with rooming patients and doing patient call backs.

I completed the CPC and CRC courses because with the particular job that I have,  I do some medical coding work,  such as checking daily to assure that insurance precertifications are posted in the medical record prior to completing the test and making sure that the codes given by the physician are covered diagnosis codes.  In my previous job as a Cardiopulmonary Supervisor at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, I ensured with all outpatient testing done that the diagnosis codes met medical necessity along with making sure all charges were applied.   I am interested in the coding side and am wanting a part time job to do in the evenings.

I have passed the coding certification examination and the Certified Risk Adjustment Coder examination.  I am proficient in Meditech and MedAZ software applications.  I am very detail oriented, always wanting to make sure things are done correctly and in a timely manner.

Holding both the CPC and CRC license, I am looking forward to a career in medical coding.  I am sure that I will demonstrate my best performance as a Certified Risk Adjustment and medical coder.
