I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 7 years and decided to pursue a different avenue in healthcare due to a growing interest and passion in medical coding. I have obtained my Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification and completed a virtual internship through AAPC that allowed me to gain hands-on experience in medical coding and proficiency across multiple specialties. I have also worked in a variety of clinical settings as a dietitian and have extensive knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology. I have worked with medical coders and CDI specialists in some of my previous jobs, as well. I am someone who thrives in fast-paced, challenging environments and am looking for an opportunity to work as a medical coder, where I can apply not only my coding skills, but also my effective interpersonal, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
