My name is Adele Staal and I have a bachelor degree in psychology. In July 2019 I became certified as a Medical Coder. In May of 2020 I took the Certified Billing course and as the Covid pandemic hit, I decided to go ahead and get my Certified Risk adjustment Coder certification in 2021. I am scheduled to take the CRC exam in early 2022. I am also working on the AAPC Practicode course which enlists you to code 300 actual physicians notes which entitle you to earn 1 year of work experience.    I am an accomplished, educated professional seeking a second career as a medical coder or a risk adjustment coder. I am passionate about learning, self-motivated, extremely organized and able to focus for long periods in front of the computer. I am knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Furthermore, I am well versed in the HCC hierarchical condition categories, medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.  I also know where to access the tools and resources needed to do my job correctly and efficiently.  I am looking forward to securing a position as a medical coder soon and hopefully in your organization.
