Inpatient Coder
Full TimeJoin UASI and work with the top medical coding experts in the country! We are currently seeking Inpatient Coders with experience coding for a Level 1 Trauma and Teaching hospital to join our Coding Services team. Inpatient Coders perform inpatient code assignments for UASI clients; coding a broad range of complex inpatient charts including but not limited to trauma, transplants, burns, cardiovascular, general surgery, moms/babies, orthopedics. Inpatient coders may also perform concurrent coding, physician queries, and work with CDI to ensure proper DRG assignment.
Qualification requirements include:
· CCS certification required
· RHIA or RHIT will also be considered
· A minimum of 3 years’ Inpatient coding experience in a short-term acute care setting
· 2+ years of experience coding for a Level 1 Trauma hospital and Teaching facility required
· The ability to provide a secure work environment is a must
