Patient Care Services Manager
Full TimeTeamRecruit is US-based staffing and recruiting firm supporting healthcare and IT/tech companies worldwide. We are seeking for a Manager Patient Care Services for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in Northern, Michigan!
This is direct job placement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participates in nursing and organizational policy formulation and decision-making involving staff, such as in shared governance.
• Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of health care, promoting care delivery with respect for individuals’ rights and preferences. Accepts organizational accountability for services provided to recipients.
• Coordinates nursing care with other healthcare disciplines, and assists in integrating services across the continuum of health care.
• Provides guidance for and supervision of Colleagues accountable to the nurse manager. Oversees staffing, and scheduling considering scope of practice, competencies, patient needs, and complexity of care.
• Provides appropriate orientation for new staff and gives individual feedback on staff development and progress. Evaluates Colleague performance in a fair and transparent manner.
• Develops, implements, and monitors the budget for a defined areas of responsibility.
• Participates in and involves nursing staff in evaluative research activities to promote evidence-based practice. Encourages shared accountability for professional practice.
• Provides an open forum of communication with staff, allowing them ample opportunities to discuss issues and seek guidance.
• Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing, business or a health-related field.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Michigan.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably the majority in an ICU setting.
• Professional certification in nursing administration or other relevant management or applicable specialties required.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
• Master’s degree.
• Previous management experience.
SUBSIDIARY SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS
• Required to complete all Core I modules in the Leadership Academy within 24 months of assuming the position. Completion of Core II modules is highly recommended.
• Primarily works on the day shift, but accountable to manage clinical area to which assigned on a 24- hour basis.
